So as you can see, it's not the brewery that's broken here.Ĭhanging the behavior of the brewery would indeed prevent this from happening and we've suggest such a change a while ago and have continued to suggest it since. Then when your troops return they are seen by the game again and thus they start consuming mead again, but by now the brewery has started to produce less and thus you end up with a rather large mead negative. This causes your mead storage to fill up, once it's full the brewery lowers the work rate. I have noticed that the game sometimes does no register your troops and thus they also don't consume any mead. The same can happen when your troops are at someone else's castle and your account is offline. The game would fail to see your troops while you sent them to a resource village and when you then pulled them back their might points would double. For a very long time we have been able to inflate our might points with a bug. I can already set my mead to -1 mead an hour if I want to, however, this doesn't prevent the starvation. I have to be very careful with what I say as I don't have the authority to make any claims but I will say what I believe is going on. Your first suggestion would indeed "fix" this issue but it's more of a duct tape solution. I appreciate you're trying to help but you don't seem to fully understand the issue at hand here. It comes down to DOES GGE want to fix it or just leave it flawed. So please Mods do not think none of us know what can be done to fix issues, I am sure there are many computer coders, accountants, engineers, etc in the players base and we know stuff can be fixed. So many times it seems like they just throw stuff at the wall and see what will stick and make a few dollars for GGE. I do not know if in GGE's meetings on "New" stuff they even think of the log term issues or work out issues that could come up. Some will just give up and say forget mead troops as just to much work/bother to do. Once more players try and go to mead troops this will become a bigger issue as more complaints will come. Now the question is does GGE want to fix the issue or just leave it sit and have players get more and more frustrated. They could raise production to 18.75 and now lose 13 mead a hour. This gives players way more control on production and still may result in a loss of mead but would be greatly reduced.Įxample of this is say a player was losing 2200 mead a hour at 18%. They have already showed they can adjust the slider as they "Redid/coded" it to accept by units of 1's now vs 10 unit amounts when it first came out. Since you can now type in your production anyway in the box provided all that GGE coders/developers need to do is set the slider to accept fraction of one (1). So a player could set there production at 19.22 as an example. Second fix is much easier to do code wise and it is just let you set your production in fractions of 1. This fix would take a bit of recoding but can be done if GGE really wanted to fix this issue. Once you reach your storage limit it just does not register but will start up again once you use some and have room for storage. This already is in the game with wood, stone, oil, coal and other production to an extent. There are two (2) fixes to this issue and yes it will require some recoding but not that much and of course it comes down to does GGE even want to fix this issue.įirst fix is to just set it so that you can overproduce and the extra just does not go into storage or register visually on the screen. GGE should just allow us to set a production level to a specific percentage and leave it at that - if we run out of honey or food its our own fault but when a building changes what its doing for no apparent reason it makes it hard to care about the game Setting limits for food and honey seems nice in theory but everytime i log on i have to check if my mead production suddenly has gone to zero for no good reason. I can either use 30k food or 60 k food and once you throw in honey into the mix it becomes very hard to have any exact control. ![]() ![]() The knock on problem is that setting a brewery at 10% of max becomes very blunt. I'm not saying there is no one who produces 300k food/h at main (actually I am) but to have that as max usage seems weird. My level 10 brewery uses 300k per hour at max capacity. The high level brewery has silly high production numbers that can't realistically be relevant for most players. In the end you'll starve or you'll have to check it all the time. Using the limit and preset eventually leads to the production resetting without the player being made aware of it. I wish GGE would do something to enable a player to set the mead production to exact numbers.
